I ordered a vinegar barrel from Budonka.  From beginning to end, the transaction couldn't go any smoother.  Mr. Barna wrote perfect English and was prompt with responses.  The shipping charge was reasonable and it took less time than expected to receive the product in the U.S.  The product was made to my spec and I can't wait to start using it.  I would definitely do business with Budonka again.

I started to make, here in Canada, brandy (or palinca how is called in my native country Romania).  They do not have it here and I felt like keeping the tradition alive.  So I make brandy from apples, pears, peaches, even pineapple.  But the taste is not the same if the brandy is aged in the bottle.  A good barrel mellows down the roughness of it and gives the brandy a nice flavour.

I got a small cherry barrel from Haraly Cooperage and loaded it with fresh pear brandy.  After 3 weeks the colour and the taste of the brandy were greatly enhanced, I'll see after few months.

The quality of the barrel is excellent, I will certainly order another mulberry one, it seems to give the harsh apple and pear brandy a beautiful aroma.
